Bigcrafters, Craft Beer Advent Calendar Packaging

Premium packaging design and illustration for Bigcrafters’ Christmas craft beer advent calendar, turning a box of 24 beers into an interactive festive object

We designed the Christmas advent calendar for Bigcrafters, a curated selection of 24 craft beers created to be discovered throughout December.

Inspired by traditional Christmas decoration, the packaging transforms the calendar into a miniature festive world. A rich palette of deep blue, red and soft pink is combined with gold foil and a collection of geometric characters, ornaments and winter scenes, giving the box the feel of a contemporary Christmas collectable.

But the experience doesn’t end when the beers are opened. The illustrated panels are designed with die-cut lines so they can be removed from the packaging, threaded with the string included inside the box, and hung on the Christmas tree as decorations. The packaging gradually becomes part of Christmas itself, extending its life beyond its original purpose.

The result is a piece of premium Christmas packaging that combines illustration, structural packaging design, craft beer and an interactive unboxing experience, designed to feel special before, during and after opening.
