Rebranding Byway, a brand built for the scenic route

Championing Slow Travel for a Sustainable World.

We’ve always believed that the best journeys aren't about how fast you get there, but the stories you collect along the way. That’s why we were so thrilled when Byway, a pioneer in the slow travel movement, asked us to help them redefine their visual world. As a woman-led B Corp, they are changing the way we see the planet, one train and ferry at a time.

Our goal was to create a brand identity that felt as intentional and sustainable as a slow-travel itinerary and worked on the concept of connections. We moved away from the rush of traditional travel aesthetics to focus on a custom logo design and a colour palette that feels grounded in nature.

Because Byway is all about accessibility and local connection, we obsessed over the readability and the user experience (UX) of their website. We wanted the digital journey to feel just as smooth and enjoyable as a cross-country train ride through the Alps.

Celebrating a sustainable legacy

Byway isn't just a travel company; they are a Certified B Corporation and the proud winners of the Marie Claire Sustainability Award. Our collaboration was about more than just "looking good"; it was about building a visual home for a brand that fights for our planet. From the website design to the finer details of their brand voice, we’re proud to have helped empower a fellow London-based company that makes the sustainable choice the most beautiful one.

Impact

Since the rebrand, Byway has secured an oversubscribed £5.04 million Series A investment, accelerated the development of its proprietary JourneyAI platform, expanded into new markets, and continued growing 3× year-on-year, reinforcing its position as one of Europe's leading flight-free travel startups.
